On September 16, 2022, the EASIER consortium gathered virtually to present the technical and scientific achievements and the overall progress of the project to the European Commission. The whole day meeting gathered representatives of all 14 EASIER project partners, the EASIER Project Officer, Luis Eduardo Martinez Lafuente, and two experts appointed by the European Commission, Krzysztof Walczak (Poznań University of Economics and Business) and Tânia Rocha (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro).
During the meeting, the Project Coordinator (Martel), Scientific Project Coordinator (ATHENA), and the other Work Package Leaders (EUD, UNIS, UZH, CNRS, UHH, NURO, RU) and partners (STXT, UCL, DFKI, AUD, INT) presented the work performed in the first 18 months of the project, including achieved milestones, submitted deliverables, and research results. Plans for the remaining 18 months of the project, including exploitation possibilities and strategies to maximize the impact of the project were also presented. Throughout the presentations, the consortium emphasized its unique approach of actively involving relevant project stakeholders in all project stages, which results in receiving valuable feedback that will ultimately help the team lead the successful adoption of the translation tool being developed as part of the project.
After the round of comprehensive presentations, a lively discussion took place. Project Officer and experts provided the consortium with valuable feedback and advice on the possibilities for further development and exploitation of project outputs, in particular regarding standardization and avatar technologies.
A project review meeting is an essential part of a funded project which allows partners to strengthen their collaboration and demonstrate to the EC the achievements reached and received valuable feedback. In EASIER we are happy to have received very positive feedback and a few suggestions to improve the work in the next period.
Giacomo Inches, Project Coordinator
The review meeting concluded on a highly positive note, further strengthening the consortium’s commitment to keep up the good work in the final months of the project.
